Lakes West of Kenora

Located just under 2 hours from Winnipeg via the Trans Canada Hwy (#17) as you pass the Ontario border – Welcome to Lake of the Woods Vacation Area!  You will notice some small/medium sized lakes that offer you and your family tranquility on quiet desirable lakes.  These include Shoal Lake, Tannis Lake, Gundy Lake, Royal Lake, Moth Lake, Lake of Two Mountains, Granite Lake, Deception Lake and McConnell Lake.  They are all located within 40 kms of the Ontario Border.  Most properties have short and easy access from the highway. 

A very popular area is known as LacLu (Lulu Lake) which is located off of Hwy 641.  This paved road also services other wonderful lakes being War Eagle Lake, Louise Lake and Sandy Lake.
